Most notable is that players now move their units with movement points in previous games units were moved by territory. The main innovation is a brand new high-quality 3D graphics engine able to render over thirty thousand men on a single battlefield. The game features large-scale battles of ancient armies with thousands of warriors. The game was developed by Creative Assembly and released on September 22, 2004.
